OUR STANDARD
Torch isn't for everyone. That's by design.
We built this program for kids who want to be coached — really coached. Kids who will put in the work, take correction, and compete every single day. And for families who understand that the game is bigger than any one player, including their own.
HUSTLE
Full effort, every play. There is no such thing as a routine out when you're giving everything you have.
RESPECT
For your coaches, your teammates, the umpires, and the game itself. How you carry yourself matters.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Own your mistakes. Fix them. Move on. We don't point fingers — we get better.
FUN
Baseball is supposed to be fun. When you work hard and compete with your teammates, it is.
NO DADDY BALL. PERIOD.
Playing time and positions are earned through work, attitude, and performance — not parent politics. Same rules for every family, including ours. If your kid earns it, they play. If they don't, they work until they do. That's the deal. We've seen what daddy ball does to programs and to kids. We won't do it.
PARENTS ARE PARTNERS.
We want your family involved. Cheer loud, support your teammates' kids the same as your own, and trust the process. Your job in the stands is to be a fan. Our job in the dugout is to coach. When we do both right, everybody wins.
WE WORK HARD. WE HAVE FUN.
That's not a contradiction — it's the point.
Torch isn't just a baseball team. It's a family. We take the game seriously, but we never forget why kids play in the first place. After the hard work comes the good stuff — limo rides, Dairy Queen runs, fair nights, and memories these kids will talk about long after they hang up their cleats.
